BRS questions Telangana govt's plan to raise ₹10,000 crore by mortgaging land

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi has raised concerns over the Telangana government's proposal to mortgage state land to raise ₹10,000 crore. A BRS spokesperson stated that the public deserved transparency regarding government decisions affecting land in key areas including Hitec City, Miyapur, Shankarpally, Patancheru, Hayathnagar and Jawaharnagar.
The opposition party's criticism focuses on the lack of clarity surrounding the financial arrangement and its potential impact on valuable state properties in technology and industrial zones across the region.
The BRS has sought detailed information about the government's scheme, emphasizing the need for public disclosure of plans involving significant state assets.
