CEC Should Resign, Scrap SIR and Conduct Fresh Electoral Roll Revision: DK Shivakumar

Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has called for the Chief Election Commissioner to resign and demanded that the current electoral roll revision exercise be scrapped in favour of a fresh one.
Shivakumar questioned the methodology of the ongoing revision process, citing concerns with Forms 6, 7 and 8 used in the exercise. He alleged that the current approach could disproportionately harm illiterate and disadvantaged sections of society.
The CM's remarks signal escalating political tension over the electoral roll revision process and its implementation.
