Chandrababu Naidu inaugurates first phase of Veligonda irrigation project after 30 years

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the first phase of the Veligonda irrigation project, marking completion over three decades after the foundation stone was laid. The project will release approximately 10.70 tmc ft of Krishna water from the Srisailam reservoir into Nallamala Sagar.

The irrigation infrastructure will benefit around 1.19 lakh acres of agricultural land and provide drinking water to approximately 4 lakh people across the region.
