Chittoor Collector to ensure fair prices for Totapuri mango farmers

The Chittoor Collector announced measures to secure remunerative prices for Totapuri mango farmers in the district. Prices have fallen sharply to ₹5 to ₹6 per kilogram amid weak demand.

The collector attributed the price collapse to surplus pulp stocks held by major beverage manufacturers Coca-Cola and Pepsi. The oversupply has pressured the market, affecting farmer returns significantly.
