Congress MLAs join CJP protest in Bengaluru demanding CEC's resignation

A major protest organised by the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP) took place in Bengaluru, drawing a substantial crowd predominantly composed of young participants. The demonstration called for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Two Congress MLAs from the ruling government in Karnataka joined the protest, signalling party support for the demands. The event reflected growing discontent over electoral governance issues in the state.
The Congress-governed state saw significant public participation in the agitation, with youth forming the bulk of attendees. The presence of ruling party legislators underscored the political nature of the protest and the broader concerns being raised regarding the CEC's tenure.
