Senior citizens have fallen victim to cyber frauds involving approximately ₹102 crore, according to police authorities. The scams employ sophisticated digital tactics to target vulnerable elderly populations, often impersonating bank officials or government representatives.

V.C. Sajjanar, a senior police officer, has urged elderly citizens to exercise caution and remain vigilant against such emerging digital threats. Authorities recommend verifying caller identities independently, avoiding sharing personal or financial information online, and reporting suspicious activity to law enforcement immediately.
