DMK's Geetha Jeevan's acquittal in assets case challenged in high court

Justice G.K. Ilanthiraiyan has deferred orders on a plea seeking to condone a delay of 839 days in filing a third party revision against the 2022 acquittal of former DMK minister Geetha Jeevan in a disproportionate assets case dating back to 2002.

The high court is examining whether to allow the belated filing despite the significant delay in approaching the court after her acquittal.
