DMK plans major overhaul after election setback with age caps and term limits

The DMK has announced plans for a significant organizational overhaul following its setback in the April 2026 elections. The party will introduce new rules including age restrictions and term limits for various posts to strengthen its structure.

As part of the restructuring, the DMK will also reorganize into 110 organizational districts. These measures aim to address weaknesses that contributed to the party's electoral performance and prepare for future political contests.
