Five cheetah cubs born at Kuno, marking new lineage from cross-border breeding

Five cheetah cubs have been born at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in India's cheetah reintroduction programme. The cubs are the offspring of a male cheetah brought from Botswana and a female cheetah from India, establishing a new cross-border lineage.
The birth represents progress in efforts to restore the cheetah population in India, where the species was declared extinct in the 1950s. Kuno National Park has been central to the reintroduction initiative, welcoming cheetahs from African countries as part of an international conservation effort.
