Food yatra across India documents culinary traditions beyond recipes

A food yatra is travelling across India to document the cultural and traditional aspects of regional cuisines that written recipes alone cannot convey. The initiative focuses on capturing the lived experiences, techniques, and community practices surrounding food preparation and consumption across different parts of the country.
The project aims to preserve knowledge about India's diverse culinary heritage by recording the stories, methods, and social contexts that define local food traditions. By combining oral history with on-ground documentation, the yatra seeks to capture dimensions of food culture that go beyond ingredient lists and cooking instructions.
