Giovanni Malagò reinstated as Italian football federation head after last-minute compromise

Giovanni Malagò has been reinstated as head of the Italian football federation following a last-minute compromise. The agreement was reached in a meeting between Malagò and Luciano Buonfiglio, president of the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI), just before CONI voted on the matter.

The compromise averted what could have been a protracted leadership dispute within Italian football's governing body.
