Gujarat registers 63.35 lakh farmers digitally, links Aadhaar to land records

Gujarat has enrolled 63.35 lakh farmers in a digital registry and linked their Aadhaar identity to land records. The initiative is part of the Centre's Digital Agriculture Mission, which seeks to create a unified digital identity for farmers across the country.
The move aims to streamline farmers' access to government agricultural schemes and services. By consolidating farmer data and land records in a digital format, the state intends to reduce administrative friction and enable quicker disbursement of benefits and subsidies to eligible cultivators.
