HAL and Safran partner to develop India's first high-power helicopter engine

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and French aerospace company Safran have entered into a partnership to develop India's first high-power helicopter engine. The deal marks a significant step toward reducing the country's dependence on imported engine technology for military and civilian helicopter applications.

The collaboration aims to leverage Safran's expertise in engine design and manufacturing alongside HAL's capabilities in aerospace production.
