High Court criticises Centre for disclosing survivor identity in POSH handbook

The High Court has pulled up the Centre for disclosing the identity of a survivor in its Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) handbook. The court expressed concern over the breach of confidentiality and privacy protections that should be afforded to survivors of workplace sexual harassment.
The handbook, which is meant to guide organisations on implementing POSH provisions, inadvertently revealed identifying details of a survivor in one of its case studies or examples. The High Court's criticism highlights the need for stricter adherence to confidentiality norms when discussing sensitive matters involving survivors.
