IN-SPACe releases new guidelines for hosted-payloads in India

India's commercial space arm IN-SPACe has released fresh guidelines governing hosted-payloads, establishing a regulatory framework for both Indian and foreign entities. The guidelines detail authorisation procedures, security requirements, and compliance obligations for organisations seeking to deploy payloads on Indian launch vehicles.
The framework addresses key regulatory aspects including International Telecommunication Union (ITU) filings and spectrum coordination. It aims to streamline the process for commercial space activities while ensuring adherence to national security and international norms.
