India, Australia pursuing comprehensive economic pact and bilateral investment treaty

India and Australia are working towards a comprehensive economic cooperation agreement and a Bilateral Investment Treaty to deepen trade and investment relations, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said.

The two countries are also expanding cooperation in critical minerals and education sectors. Both nations are addressing cross-border taxation and compliance issues that affect businesses and service providers operating across their borders.
