Centre extends export duty refund schemes until year-end amid West Asia tensions

The Centre has extended the RoDTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products) and RoSCTL (Rebate of State and Central Taxes and Levies) schemes for apparel, garments and made-ups exporters by three months, now running until December 31.
The move comes as the government continues backing exports amid regional uncertainty. Enhanced insurance cover against payment defaults for export consignments to West Asia will remain in place until March 31, 2027, under the Export Promotion Mission.
These duty refund mechanisms aim to ease the working capital burden on exporters and bolster competitiveness in the key West Asian market during a period of geopolitical volatility.
