India-New Zealand FTA comes into force from October 20

The India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement will come into force on October 20, providing Indian exporters with duty-free access to New Zealand across all tariff lines from day one. The agreement aims to double bilateral goods and services trade to approximately Rs 35,000 crore by 2030.
The pact includes protections for sensitive Indian sectors including dairy and several agricultural products. It also extends greater market access for select New Zealand products and incorporates provisions covering investment, professionals and student mobility.
