Consumer Regulator Escalates Probe Into Apple's Software Warranty Terms

India's consumer regulator has intensified its probe into Apple's software warranty terms. The company has privately contested the regulator's accusations, stating in an August letter that providing no warranty on software aligns with global industry norms.
Apple has also asserted that iOS 18 experienced no systemic issues. The escalating inquiry focuses on whether Apple's warranty practices comply with consumer protection regulations in the country.
