International drug smuggling racket busted in Andhra Pradesh; 213 kg ganja seized

Police in Anakapalli have dismantled an international drug smuggling network, seizing 213 kg of ganja and arresting five persons. The Superintendent of Police revealed that the primary accused had a drug conviction in Sri Lanka in 2022 and was imprisoned there. After obtaining bail, he illegally entered India by sea.

The operation exposed connections between local traffickers and international smugglers, indicating organized cross-border drug movement. Authorities continue investigations to identify other members of the syndicate and trace the supply chain.
