Iran President Shares 14-Point MoU With Trump, Says Peace Will Be Realised Through Mutual Respect

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Thursday released a 14-point Memorandum of Understanding signed with US President Donald Trump, describing it as a historic accord toward peace based on mutual respect. Posting the document on X, Pezeshkian said the agreement reflected a message from a powerful Iran and that the Islamic Republic remained committed to global peace while preserving its dignity, independence and regional cooperation.
The memorandum outlines a framework for de-escalation and negotiations between Tehran and Washington, covering military conflict, sanctions, nuclear commitments and economic reconstruction. Both sides pledged to immediately halt military operations against each other, including on fronts linked to Lebanon, and refrain from threats or use of force. The agreement emphasises respect for sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs.
The MoU sets a 60-day period, extendable by mutual consent, for negotiating a final comprehensive deal. The United States commits to lifting its naval blockade within 30 days, while Iran agrees to ensure safe passage of commercial vessels through the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz.
