Karnataka to add more taluks to drought-hit list

Karnataka has already declared 217 out of 240 taluks across the state as drought-hit. The remaining 23 taluks are currently undergoing a ground truthing exercise to assess drought conditions on the ground.

Once the verification process is completed, additional taluks are expected to be added to the drought list. This exercise aims to ensure accurate assessment of drought-affected areas and facilitate targeted relief measures.
