Karnataka bandh sees muted response in major cities

A Karnataka bandh called on Wednesday drew a lukewarm response across the state's major cities. In Bengaluru, hotels and restaurants remained open while normal commercial activity continued uninterrupted. Key business hubs including D. Devaraja Urs Road and Sayyaji Rao Road saw shops and establishments functioning without disruption.
Similar scenes were reported from Mysuru and Belagavi, where the shutdown failed to gain significant public support. The bandh, aimed at pressing certain demands, did not translate into the anticipated widespread closure of businesses or halt in daily operations across these commercial centres.
