Karnataka CID seeks sanction to prosecute IAS officer in KPSC exam scam

The Karnataka Criminal Investigation Department has moved to seek official sanction to prosecute IAS officer Gangwar in relation to irregularities in Karnataka Public Service Commission examinations. The officer, previously described as disgraced, is allegedly implicated in the KPSC exam racket.
The CID's action follows investigations into the recruitment examination fraud. Obtaining sanction from the government is a procedural requirement before filing formal charges against a serving or former government official in such cases.
The KPSC exam scam has drawn significant attention as part of broader scrutiny into irregularities in state-level civil service recruitment processes.
