Karnataka CM accuses rival of sting operation against predecessor

Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has accused Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar of orchestrating a sting operation targeting former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Kumaraswamy has called for an independent investigation into the matter.
The JD(S) leader also alleged that police are disproportionately targeting workers from his party. These accusations have deepened tensions within the state's political establishment, where the Congress and JD(S) share power in a coalition government.
The sting operation row has raised questions about the coordination between the coalition partners and the functioning of law enforcement in the state. The allegations remain unresolved, with no official clarification from the government or police on the nature or scope of the operation.
