Don't create unrest: Karnataka CM Shivakumar hits out at BJP over police warning during Ganesh procession

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Shivakumar accused BJP leaders of politicising a row involving a police warning during a Ganesh procession. The controversy arose after an inspector advised against bursting crackers near a mosque during the festival procession.
Shivakumar defended the police officer's cautionary action, saying it was aimed at maintaining communal harmony and preventing unrest. He said the police warning was a routine measure to ensure public order and protect religious sentiments of all communities.
The CM urged BJP to refrain from using such incidents for political gain and called for cooperation in maintaining peace during religious processions.
