Karnataka contractors warn government over ₹38,000 crore dues, allege bribery by MLAs

The Karnataka State Contractors Association has issued a warning to the government, claiming a financial crunch has left it unable to pay dues amounting to ₹38,000 crore. The association alleged interference by MLAs, with several legislators allegedly demanding commissions for awarding tenders and releasing funds.
The contractors' body threatened to expose what it described as bribe-seeking practices if the outstanding dues are not cleared. The warning highlights ongoing tensions between the state government and contractors over delayed payments and alleged corruption in the tender process.
