Karnataka Consumer Court Orders KSRTC to Pay ₹13,000 for Faulty AC Bus
A consumer court in Karnataka has ordered the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) to pay ₹13,000 in compensation to a passenger for operating a bus with a faulty air conditioning system.
The court found that the passenger was subjected to discomfort during the journey due to the failure of the AC system, which amounted to a breach of service standards. The ruling directs KSRTC to address operational lapses in vehicle maintenance.
