Karnataka to set up specialised cybercrime stations amid low detection rates

Karnataka is planning to establish specialised cybercrime investigation stations to address the persistent problem of low detection rates in digital crime cases. The move comes as authorities acknowledge the growing challenge of cyber offences and the need for dedicated resources to tackle them effectively.
The state police department will set up these focused units to probe all cybercrime cases, aiming to strengthen investigation capabilities and improve case closure rates. This initiative reflects efforts to modernise law enforcement response to technology-enabled crimes in the state.
