Karnataka faces 35% rainfall deficit during southwest monsoon
The India Meteorological Department has indicated that Karnataka is likely to experience below-normal rainfall during the southwest monsoon season, with a deficit of approximately 35%.
The patchy rainfall distribution across the state has raised concerns about water availability for agriculture and other sectors. The IMD's forecast suggests that the monsoon season may not deliver the expected precipitation levels for the state.
