Karnataka milk prices may rise by ₹8 after Legislative Council elections

The Karnataka Cabinet has discussed a proposal to revise milk prices in the state, with reports suggesting an increase of up to ₹8 per litre. However, the price hike is not expected to be implemented immediately.
According to sources, the state government is likely to defer the announcement and implementation of the milk price revision until after the Legislative Council elections are concluded, apparently to avoid political backlash ahead of the polls.
The proposal also covers fare revision for state-owned road transport corporations, indicating broader discussions on cost adjustments across public services.
