Karnataka Opposition Leader Ashoka Criticizes State Government Over Drought Crisis

Karnataka's Leader of Opposition Ashoka has accused the state government of mishandling the ongoing drought crisis. He alleged that more than 200 taluks have crossed the drought threshold, signaling widespread distress across the state.
Ashoka cited significant rainfall deficits as evidence of the severity. According to his claims, Karnataka faces a 36 per cent rainfall shortfall overall, while the situation is more acute in south interior Karnataka with a 46 per cent deficit. The opposition leader's remarks underscore growing concerns about agricultural stress and water availability in the state.
