Rain deficit across most Karnataka districts; drought warning expanded

Nearly all districts in Karnataka are experiencing significant rainfall deficits, with only one district recording adequate precipitation. The shortfall has prompted authorities to expand drought classifications to additional taluks across the state.
The widespread rain deficit threatens agricultural output and water availability in the region. State officials are monitoring the situation closely as more taluks are being formally tagged as drought-affected areas.
