Karnataka to Release Second List of Drought-Hit Taluks Soon: CM Shivakumar

Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar announced that a second list of drought-hit taluks will be released shortly. The government had previously declared 101 taluks as drought-affected last week.

Following the initial list, residents from several other taluks have submitted requests for inclusion, citing severe drought conditions in their regions. Protests and bandhs have been organised in multiple places, including Gadag, demanding that these areas be recognised as drought-hit and receive relief measures.
