Karnataka to Submit Drought Relief Memorandum to Centre Within Days
Karnataka has identified 101 taluks as drought-affected based on parameters set by the Union Government, including satellite imagery, green cover assessment, and dry spell data.
The state cabinet has approved submission of a memorandum to the Centre detailing the drought situation in these taluks. Officials said the document will be filed within the next couple of days to seek central assistance for affected regions.
