Bribes for Karnataka vet posts funded Rs 52 lakh jewellery for IAS officer's friend: CID

Karnataka's Central Crime Investigation Department has uncovered a bribery scheme linked to veterinary service appointments in the state. According to CID findings, money collected as bribes for veterinary positions was diverted to purchase jewellery valued at Rs 52 lakh for someone close to an IAS officer.
The investigation reveals a pattern of corruption in the recruitment process for veterinary department posts. The CID probe indicates that the illicit funds were systematically channelled toward personal acquisitions rather than remaining within official channels.
