Kerala Minister flags concern over Muslim girls following atheist social media pages

Kerala's Local Self-Government Department Minister KM Shaji has raised concerns about Muslim girls following atheist pages on social media, describing the trend as "dangerous." Speaking at the C H Koya National Seminar at Calicut University on Sunday, Shaji noted that Muslim girls constitute the largest share of followers on atheist pages in Kerala.

The minister called for community organisations to pay greater attention to the changing outlook, aspirations and concerns of young Muslim women in the state.
