Kuldeep Bishnoi's 'Sneh Milan' event sparks speculation over BJP ties

Former MP Kuldeep Bishnoi, younger son of three-time former Haryana chief minister Bhajan Lal, has been conducting an intensive public outreach campaign across Haryana for the past three months without displaying BJP flags, banners, or party symbols. Since launching the initiative from Sirsa on July 21, Bishnoi has held 'Sneh Milan' (friendship meet) gatherings in parts of Panipat, Kurukshetra, Jind, Kaithal, and Dadri districts, drawing considerable political attention and triggering speculation about his future political moves, particularly following his non-nomination to the Rajya Sabha a few months ago.
The gatherings, held without formal political rally format or party flags on stage, have featured old political associates and supporters of the Bhajan Lal family alongside Bishnoi, raising questions about their political significance. A close associate clarified that Bishnoi was reaching out to old contacts and supporters separately from the BJP's formal programmes, emphasizing that the absence of party symbols should not be viewed as distance from the BJP. Despite the speculation, Bishnoi has maintained that he continues to be with the BJP and has given no indication of breaking away from the party.
Addressing supporters in Dadri on Friday, Bishnoi stated, "Struggle has taught me not to bow down, but to keep moving forward," and expressed gratitude for their support throughout his political journey during both good and difficult times. The events have nevertheless been seen as a show of strength in Haryana political circles.
