Madhya Pradesh BJP leaders intensify Delhi visits amid cabinet expansion speculation

A series of high-level meetings between Madhya Pradesh BJP leaders and their Delhi counterparts has intensified political activity in the state. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav cancelled scheduled engagements in Indore and Dhar to travel to Delhi on Friday, while Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar took a chartered flight to the capital. Former state BJP chief VD Sharma met Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the second time in a month, and Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla also met Shah.
CM Yadav and state BJP president Hemant Khandelwal have sought approval from senior party leaders for a cabinet expansion, according to sources. Khandelwal recently met national organisational general secretary BL Santosh and Shivprakash. However, without clearance from central leadership, the expansion plans remain confidential. Political observers attribute the flurry of Delhi visits to deliberations over the cabinet reshuffle.
