Mamata Banerjee serves notice to SSKM Hospital over alleged leak of medical reports

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has served a notice to Seth Sukhlal Khandelwal Memorial (SSKM) Hospital regarding the alleged unauthorised disclosure of her medical reports. The action follows the release of a five-year-old medical report by BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, who claimed that Banerjee had fabricated her leg injury.

Adhikari's decision to make the medical records public triggered a controversy centred on the confidentiality of the Chief Minister's health documents. The incident has raised questions about the protection of sensitive personal health information and the protocols governing the handling of such records at government medical institutions.

The hospital has not yet issued a formal response to the notice served by Banerjee regarding the alleged leak of her medical reports.
