Mangaluru courts sentence five men to 20 years each in sexual assault cases

Two separate courts in Mangaluru have handed down 20-year prison sentences to five men in unrelated sexual assault cases. Four men were convicted and sentenced for a 2018 gang rape, while another man received a 20-year sentence for repeatedly sexually assaulting a minor.

The convictions were delivered following trials in the respective cases. The sentences underscore judicial action against serious sexual crimes in the district.
