BJP will ally with Akali Dal if SAD accepts farm laws condition, says Mann

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann alleged that the BJP has set a precondition for any alliance with the Akali Dal: the passage of three farm laws. Mann claimed this exposes a nexus between the two parties, citing their alleged coordination in recent Panjab University elections.
Mann accused the Akali leadership of abandoning ideology for power, noting that over 700 farmers died during protests against the farm laws. He warned voters that an SAD-BJP government could reimpose these laws on Punjab's farmers.
Contrasting this with his AAP government's performance, Mann highlighted development work in schools, hospitals, electricity, water and roads, and cautioned the people against being misled by what he termed the political strategy of these parties ahead of the 2027 state elections.
