MEA criticises U.S. green card suspension measures, says they undermine shared goals

India's Ministry of External Affairs has criticized the United States' green card suspension measures, stating they do not advance shared India-U.S. ambitions.
The MEA's statement comes in response to U.S. policies restricting green card processing for certain visa categories. The ministry indicated that such measures run counter to the cooperative framework both nations have built.
The criticism reflects India's concerns over the impact of these U.S. immigration policies on Indian professionals and citizens seeking permanent residency in America. India has previously raised concerns over restrictions affecting skilled workers and visa holders.
