Monsoon retreat in sight, but rainfall continues: IMD

The India Meteorological Department has indicated that monsoon withdrawal is approaching, though active rainfall is still anticipated across parts of the country. The seasonal reversal typically marks the transition from the southwest monsoon phase, which delivers most of India's annual precipitation.
While withdrawal conditions are taking shape, the IMD cautioned that residual rainfall activity will continue in certain regions before the monsoon formally retreats. Farmers and weather-dependent sectors are advised to monitor forecasts closely during this transition period.
