Naidu pivots TDP strategy towards irrigation and rural development in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is steering the TDP towards a focus on agricultural and rural infrastructure. His strategy centres on a ₹35,000-crore irrigation roadmap and renewed emphasis on the Polavaram project, a key water resource initiative.
The shift includes adoption of AI-driven water management systems aimed at improving farm productivity and water distribution. Analysts view this as a strategic repositioning to rebuild the TDP's rural support base and reshape Naidu's image from a tech-focused administrator to one engaged with agrarian concerns.
