Nashik onion wholesale prices drop to ₹46/kg amid fresh arrivals

Onion wholesale prices in Nashik have declined to ₹46 per kg from ₹55 a month earlier, driven by fresh arrivals from Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh flooding the Lasalgaon market.

Increased supply from neighbouring states has put downward pressure on rates at the key trading hub. However, retail prices have remained elevated, indicating a gap between wholesale and consumer-level pricing.
