Glaciers, floods don't travel with visas: Nepal PM urges India, China to join Himalayan warning network

Nepal's Prime Minister has called on India and China to collaborate on establishing a unified early warning system for natural disasters across the Himalayan region. The appeal underscores that glacial retreat and flooding pose transnational risks irrespective of political boundaries.
The proposal aims to create a coordinated mechanism to monitor and alert communities about climate-related hazards in the Himalayas, where shared water resources and geological features affect all three nations. Such cooperation could strengthen disaster preparedness and save lives across the region.
