North-east monsoon brings heavy rain to southern peninsula

The north-east monsoon has brought heavy rainfall to parts of southern India on Wednesday. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal experienced heavy precipitation at several locations, while many other areas across the meteorological subdivision witnessed moderate rainfall.

South Coastal Andhra Pradesh also recorded moderate to heavy showers as the monsoon system continues its progression across the region. The Indian Meteorological Department has been tracking the system's movement and intensity.

With the monsoon season in full swing, residents and authorities across the affected states are monitoring weather conditions closely. Further heavy rainfall is expected in the coming days as the monsoon system strengthens across the southern peninsula.
