NTPC and EDF Power Solutions India form joint venture for pumped storage and renewable energy

State-owned NTPC and EDF Power Solutions India have formed a joint venture to develop pumped storage hydroelectric and renewable energy projects. The collaboration aims to expand India's renewable and hydro energy capacity.

Pumped storage facilities act as energy storage systems, allowing for efficient management of power supply during peak and off-peak demand periods. The venture will combine NTPC's operational expertise with EDF's technical capabilities in renewable and hydro power generation.
