Odisha Floods Leave Trail of Devastation; Centre Grants Rs 500 Crore
Heavy and continuous rainfall across the Mahanadi basin and neighbouring catchment areas has triggered a major flood crisis in Odisha. The deluge has caused widespread devastation across affected regions.
In response to the disaster, the Union Government has approved Rs 500 crore in relief assistance for the flood-hit state to aid recovery and rehabilitation efforts.
